Director's Welcome

A warm and friendly Port Elizabeth welcome to the 33rd Herald Continental Cycle Tour. Another great tour awaits you.

With entries now reaching approx 4000, my personal walk with this event started many years ago as a young girl remembering the hustle and bustle in our home as my dad Rob Rudman was one of three visionaries who started and worked tirelessly for the success of this tour. Old photos show some 300 riders on the start line with no demarcated start chutes, spider helmets and some with solid helmets which had no inner protection in "those days!"

We are now many years later with many positive changes along the way. We all have memories and I am trusting that you take away more happy memories from the 2018 Tour.

Go, pedal, stay safe and most of all, ENJOY!
