Route Description / Map
Start at the Addo Polo Club. The routes are different to previous years, and have been designed to avoid the worst of the thorny sections. The first 20km are on reasonably flat gravel roads as you make your way towards the Zuurberg Mountains. The 30km route turns off before the going gets too tough and heads back to the finish through citrus orchards and on farm roads.
The 60km and 80km routes include sections of spectacular singletrack with wooden bridges as well as some challenging climbing to the highest point, near the top of the Zuurberg pass.
Both the longer routes are fun and exciting, with the 80km being more physically demanding, suited to experienced and fit athletes.
Due to Addo being very hot at this time of the year, riders are to ensure they have enough fluids and sunblock with them, and make use of the waterpoints on route.
