General Info

Director's Welcome

The Herald Continental Cycle Tour MTB race offers something special for all riders, from the Powerade Kiddies 5km right up to the 80km Extreme. Each route has been carefully selected to cater to a specific type of rider. Read our race route descriptions and choose the race that suits your abilities and fitness level.

Some of the Hayterdale Trails MTB tracks are included in the 60km & 80km routes. This challenging but rewarding singletrack set in the foothills of the Zuurberg Mountains awaits those who are up for a challenge.

The 30km Powerade Leisure Challenge is great for mountain bike novices. There's no singletrack, just wide open gravel roads and jeeptrack through citrus orchards. Great fun for a social day out.

As race director, I look forward to hosting participants and showing off some of the best mountain biking in South Africa.
