The 85km Feature Race takes riders through some extremely technical terrain in the Addo Elephant National Park. With plenty of steep climbs, extreme descents and stunning single track to keep you on your toes, this is definitely going to challenge riders in both stamina and technical ability. The challenging 65km route explores the beauty of the Zuurberg Pass, climbing over this historic 1860’s hand-built road, before descending into the picturesque valleys below. After winding through the undulating bushveld, the route then joins up with the shorter 30km Family Fun Ride route that meanders through scenic citrus orchards and along the edges of the invitingly cool waters of canals before heading back to the finish at the Addo Polo Club. Being very hot around this time of year, a high factor sunblock is recommended and riders are advised to make use of the numerous watering points along the route to quench their thirst. |
